La Cava Tapas Bar
In the heart of Ibiza Town, La Cava opens throughout the day serving up a variety of dishes to suit all kinds of hunger, using as much local produce as possible. Its location makes it one of the best places to people watch in town.
A recent renovation has seen this famous and chic bar take on warm rustic style that draws inspiration from Ibiza’s maritime past both in its decor and on the menu. Cages for catching crabs serve as lampshades and earth colours abound. This top spot, that attracts people from morning till night, has super-friendly service and a buzzing vibe.
La Cava has earned its place as one of the best hangout spots in town. Located on the pedestrianised square of Vara de Rey, it has long been a meeting place for locals and tourists and is one of the best places for people watching.
You will find a refreshed multi-themed menu with some great new dishes. Try those to share, like burrata and salmon or the classic patatas bravas. Look out for the home made chicken shawarma made with locally reared chicken.
The addition of a Josper grill adds special deep flavour to charcoal-grilled dishes such as black pork ribs and octopus; and, vegetables make a star turn too: the roasted leek croquettes take that delicious Spanish staple to a new level.
80% of the products are locally sourced, they even use olive oil from olives grown and pressed on the island. The menu del dia, fixed price menu is available every day and offers three delicious courses for a very reasonable price
Breakfast is well-catered for with tostadas, bagels and pancakes as well as all types of set breakast from traditional, to American to Norwegian.
Juices, coffees, speciality teas, cocktails and of course Cava make up their excellent drinks list, to be enjoyed inside or out on the popular terrace in front of the bar.
