Beachside elegance is paired expertly with locally-sourced, fresh Mediterranean cuisine in an idyllic lunch or dinner setting away from the crowds.
Overlooking S’Estanyol beach, Cala Bonita captures the spirit of Ibiza from the moment you catch a glimpse of the place. Situated right next to the beach and decorated in a stylish, rustic style, the simple elegance of this place will make you feel like you’ve fallen in love.
The atmosphere is relaxed, eco-elegance. Altars of candlelight on natural rock formations in the dining room set the mood at night. During the day, stunning views over the aquamarine water across the bay with the old fisherman’s huts at the side are a picture postcard of Ibiza beach life. The service is attentive and discreet and the owner and manager are on hand to provide a warm welcome and a personal touch.
Great care and attention have gone into the dining experience, from the daily catch to the seasonal menu options. Well known amongst the local Spanish on the island, the clientele also includes regular island visitors and foodies. Small but perfectly formed, the restaurant caters to couples on romantic dates or small groups. A private dining area, Petit Bonita, can be reserved for intimate special occasions.
Argentinian-born Chef Brian Olocco leads the kitchen, under the wise guidance of renowned Spanish executive chef Pau Barba. Together they bring a truly special Mediterranean dining experience to Ibiza.
Seafood lovers will be delighted with a wide variety of options from a tangy ceviche that simply dances on the palate to charcoal-grilled whole fish or meaty mussels. Meat lovers will not be disappointed either with fine produce simply cooked and bursting with flavour. Plates are ideal for sharing with another main or several starters, so you can sample your way through the menu.
Dessert at Cala Bonita is not an afterthought but a requirement. With its own pastry kitchen and chef putting a twist on classics like cheesecake, pancakes and chocolate tarts, save some space for these lush afters. They can be paired with a dessert wine selection and look like works of art on the plate.
Cala Bonita’s motto is perfect imperfection. This is an ideal way to summarise this outstanding restaurant where the menu and the food ooze authenticity, eco-elegance and a passion for this magical island.
