San Antonio Town
We all know San Antonio’s Sunset Strip as the place to grab a drink and watch the sun dip gracefully below the water line, but it’s also a surprisingly good spot for tucker. Cafe Mambo is one of the most iconic venues on the coastal assembly line and, in recent years, certainly the busiest.
The Mambo menu offers tasty versions of your usual suspects: steak, burgers, seafood and an enticing variety of filling salads (ten points for the superfood salad), plus a strong focus on Mexican cuisine like nachos, potato skins and quesadillas (heavenly death by melted cheese). Then there’s a dessert selection, an array of Mambo’s famous cocktails and, if you come at the right time, an unparalleled show put on by the Ibiza sky and sea.
Breakfast and lunch services have a very relaxed atmosphere, whilst dinner service during peak season can get very lively. After dark Mambo usually transforms into a pre-party bar so there will always be beats and high energy levels to accompany your meal, with massive headlining DJs from the super clubs frequently dropping in to have a spin.
